Providence Health Plan is calling a Business Process Improvement Consultant 1 to Murray Business Center in Beaverton, OR
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Lead departmental process/quality improvement engagements with guidance from the Program Manager, Business Process Improvement.
Lead process analysis and reengineering efforts in prioritizing Business Process Improvement Team initiatives with guidance from the Program Manager, Business Process Improvement. Develops project plan and lead cross-functional teams through resulting re-design efforts.
Employ Change Acceleration Process tools and techniques to help department leaders successfully implement and sustain improvements.
Help departments use tools for measuring and communicating the value of process changes over time for senior management. This may involve electronic report generation, surveys, and/or observational and/or time studies.
Assist the Program Manager, Business Process Improvement in working with finance and organizational leadership to validate outcomes reporting from departments.
Consult with project teams on success criteria development and may help collect and analyze data during the course of a project. Provides insight to customers about the interpretation of data analysis.
Actively seeks process improvement opportunities related to the use of Lean methodology, technology supports or best practice examples
Required qualifications for this position include :
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in business administration, industrial engineering, systems science, or healthcare administration. 4 years relevant work experience may be substituted for degree requirements.
2 years of work experience that includes process/quality improvement preferably in a healthcare setting.
Demonstrated organizational awareness to work in a complex business environment.
Preferred qualifications for this position include :
Formal education or certification in project management and process improvement methodologies.
Training in Lean methodologies preferred with certification and/or achievement.
Training in CAP/WorkOutTM or similar methodologies.
Experience with formal process improvement methodologies and toolsets.
Experience with formal project management methodologies based on PMI principals.
