Providence Health & Services Coordinator - Training & Quality Assurance in Beaverton, Oregon
Providence Health Plan is calling a Coordinator - Training & Quality Assurance to our location in Beaverton, OR.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Identifies, assesses, develops, conducts and assists in Pharmacy Technician staff and individual technician training and development programs for all Pharmacy operations.
Ability to complete, train, mentor all major job duties/functions of Pharmacy Technician Job Description
Research training topics, develop lesson plans, and write all training curriculum aimed at achieving goals and objectives. Update materials as procedures and policies change so that information presented is accurate in one or more of the areas of Claims, Customer Service and/or Membership Accounting.
Conduct training sessions utilizing, written material or other training tools. Use a supportive teaching style that is effective for the different learning styles of all pharmacy staff supporting all work facets of the Pharmacy Technical & Clinical Help Desk.
Develop course assessments and evaluations to continually improve sessions to ensure that trainees are adequately prepared to perform basic job duties and build on team cohesiveness and interpersonal relationships within the Pharmacy Technical & Clinical Help Desk.
Provide constructive feedback on trainees; work on continuous employee development and growth opportunities with Operations Coordinators and Managers.
Ability to systematically develop, implement & audit policies, procedures, supportive materials and workflows for all work activities performed by team.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required in business, science or health care related field.
3-5 years of outpatient Pharmacy Technician experience.
3-5 years of customer service experience required.
Strong computer, data entry and typing experience.
Medication and drug product training and medical terminology.
Previous experience training adult learners.
Working knowledge of medical terminology, CPT coding applications, basic anatomy and physiology, pharmaceutical math calculations, knowledge of pharmaceuticals, general medical office, hospital, and pharmacy outpatient operations and services, pharmacy billing, and confidentiality guidelines.
Strong customer service skills, versed in crucial conversations and conflict resolution.
Strong organizational, analytical, problem solving skills and decision making capabilities.
Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, including grammar.
Strong negotiation skills and the ability to bring a group to a consensus through problem solving, conflict management, group communication and interpersonal relationships. This may include working with both internal and external customers.
Demonstrated appreciation of team dynamics and ability to coach for successful team development.
Demonstrated high level computer skills in: MS Office Suite, Outlook.
Ability to effectively document coaching and training interventions and to work closely with the manager to assure appropriate documentation for the pharmacy staff.
Ability to develop & implement policies, procedures, and workflow documentation for all work performed by the Pharmacy Services department.
Knowledge of Medicare Part D regulations including Medication Therapy Management program requirements.
Ability to develop and deliver presentations and engage the audience in active discussion.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Managed care pharmacy experience.
Project management, Six Sigma, Lean training, Change Acceleration Process (CAP) and Work Out training and experience.
