The Providence Cloud Engineering & Operations (CEO) team is looking for Program Managers to serve in our newly established Engagement team. Providence Cloud Engineering & Operations (CEO) supports the provisioning and operations of both On-premise and Azure Cloud infrastructure across the Providence enterprise. We are a growing team and have established a new Engagement function responsible for working with executive leadership and their teams across the enterprise to encourage Azure Cloud adoption leveraging application migrations, net new project implementations, and as a means to reduce our on-premise technical debt and footprint. This Engagement role should possess a Cloud First mindset and will be responsible for serving as the point of contact to one or more customer organizations assisting them to prioritize these initiatives within their portfolio and establishing committed plans for execution and delivery. In this role, you will provide progress updates to our executive leadership in weekly/monthly reviews and communications, engage application team leaders to drive work forward, facilitate execution of work between our various IS teams, help identify risks and unblock issues with execution and delivery, leverage data and reporting tools to make data-driven decisions and report on progress of work, manage tasks through Azure Dev Ops, and drive outcomes which support our Caregiver Experience and Cloud First Missions. If you live outside the Puget Sound area, light travel may be required to our corporate offices as the need arises.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Solution and Service: Creates design options for feature areas that enable scenarios. Evaluates data sources and research methods for use across the team. Uses expertise on caregiver/partner strengths and weaknesses to articulate an approach that will differentiate the solution and appeal to caregivers. Ensures that feature areas deliver the expected value to the caregiver and business objectives to PSJH. Consistently contributes key ideas to the vision that appeal to the caregiver’s sense of style, fun, and aesthetics as well as their functional needs.
Solution and Service Design: For scenario-related feature areas, creates, evolves, and communicates specifications for feature areas that enable cohesive, compatible, Iterable scenarios that span multiple feature releases and enable the multi-year vision. Applies world-class technical, functional and caregiver and partner knowledge to respond to trends and opportunities. Applies a strategic understanding of the timing and rationale for design choices for feature areas. Reviews and contributes to the designs of peers. Uses experience and expertise to improve design templates and process.
Caregiver lifecycle: Ensures that scenarios are effectively explained and enabled across stakeholder, partner, and caregiver messaging strategies. Collaborates with internal stakeholders to develop and optimize messaging and supporting collateral that enable support and adoption. Partners with caregivers and vendors to ensure Providence stakeholder readiness. Establishes or improves systems to manage solution feedback from caregivers and resolve issues. Defines and evolves ecosystem support resources for the duration of support lifecycle, such as content, tools, sample applications, and SDKs to enable user communities and drive adoption.
Engineering lifecycle: Defines the design iteration process for the team or organization and leads improvements over successive releases. Validates time estimates of others on the team. Participates in design, code, and test planning and reviews across the feature area, understands the root causes of issues, and finds ways to resolve them. Identifies multi-solution/service dependency issues and scheduling priorities, and establishes milestone exit criteria.
Solution and Service ownership: Has a sense of pride and personal accountability for end-to-end quality, completeness, and resulting user experience for the life of the solution/service. Identifies unaddressed issues and resolves, escalates, or finds the appropriate owner to ensure the highest level of quality. Uses the solution/service regularly to understand it thoroughly and discover ways to improve it.
Program Management functions: Proactively and independently manages client expectations for timelines and deliverables throughout the project/program lifecycle. Develops and gains sponsor approval for project delivery dates. Manage portfolio programs with very high complexity, strategic priority and/or visibility, system and/or regional priority - typically at an enterprise level. Engages and organizes the assignment of activities of multi-functional, large-scale teams, as well as the project estimates, task dependencies and schedule. Scope, risk and issue management, including documenting, communicating and facilitating resolutions or mitigation plans. Responsible for program communications, including communications across internal and external teams and groups.
Leadership: Acts as a coach and mentor to other Program Managers and Project Managers.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or equivalent education/experience.
8 years related experience.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Master's Degree or equivalent education/experience.
Experience in a Healthcare environment.
PMP (Project Management Professional) certification
Strong Executive communication and presentation skills
Experience/understanding of Azure Cloud Services
Experience/understanding of IT datacenter hosting, infrastructure and operations (i.e. compute, virtualization, storage, backup, patching, security)
Advanced Excel & BI experience (i.e. VLOOKUP, PowerBI, SQL)
2-5 years Agile/Scrum experience or certifications
1-2 years Azure Dev Ops experience
