Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a Senior Technical Analyst PSJH to any of our PSJH locations.
We are seeking a Senior Technical Analyst PSJH to be responsible for maintaining a dynamic risk analytics structure in support of Risk and Integrity Services (RIS) internal and external reporting needs, decision making on key trends and themes and also developing reports which translate operations into business acumen for use with our Executive Management, regional leadership, clinicians and the Board of Directors. The Sr Technical Analyst is expected to possess advanced decision making skills in risk assessment techniques and practices, at least minimal knowledge of critical Providence applications such as Epic, Datix,Navex, use of shared drives and Lawson, and the ability to analyze internal and external /benchmarking data sources to identify and report risk trends mitigation as they pertain to priority risk areas.
This position will act as the RIS liaison with the Healthcare Intelligence and Informatics groups. Other key areas of focus will include monitoring the risk impact of major systems implementations, integrations and upgrades; interpreting data in reports and analyses to gain insight on emerging risks; and providing technical advice to financial/operational auditors, compliance specialists and other RIS caregivers. This position does not have direct reports but works with all levels of individuals on complex projects across PSJH.
This position includes overnight travel and routine inter-facility commuting. This position reports to the CRO, with a matrixed reporting for day to day operations to the Chief Internal Audit Officer and also will serve the entire RIS Division.

In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Maintain a dynamic risk analytics structure in support of Risk and Integrity Services (RIS) internal and external reporting needs, decision making on key trends and themes and also developing reports which translate operations into business acumen for use with our Executive Management, regional leadership, clinicians and the Board of Directors.
Act as a SME, and a primary RIS contact and control expert for healthcare intelligence and informatics functions/activities.
Monitor the risk impact of major systems implementations, integrations and upgrades.
Interpret complex data in reports and analyses to gain insight on emerging risks.
Provide SME-level technical advice to financial/operational auditors, compliance specialists and other RIS caregivers.
Perform complex data analysis to identify risk trends, support project scoping, and develop management dashboard reporting tools.
Represent RIS either directly or as back-up to the CIAO on data governance committees, councils, or initiatives.
Act as technical resource for evaluating data warehouse, application and cloud computing controls in support of business process audits and new systems implementations or major application upgrades.
Provide technical guidance to RIS caregivers regarding the identification and documentation of risk and controls, and the analysis and communication of the impact of controls weakness and failures on operations. Work with Compliance, Privacy and Information Security on investigations and breaches. Provide analysis of control breakdowns and recommendations for mitigation, as needed. Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelors of Arts or Sciences in business administration, accounting, finance, management information systems, or related fields of study.
7 years of progressive experience in data informatics including minimum of 4 years performing , healthcare business intelligence analysis, or risk management experience.
Prior data analysis and reporting writing experience.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- 4 years performing risk management data analysis in a healthcare setting.
